Granada Day 1- Living A Bed Time Story
Steven has a story he has told the kids and other many times about a visit 10 years ago to Granada. The Story Goes something like this
Steven tells the story so much better than I but this will have to do.
-Steven and our friend Ty and his son were visiting Granada and walking around the neighborhood known as the Albaicin. It is a maze of streets that you never can know if you have been in the same place twice as they all look similar. As they were walking they found themselves at a dead end where there was a small door and a door bell. Ty rang the bell not knowing what they were getting into. It turns out it was a group of cloistered nuns that sold baked goods. You never get to see them you just get to speak to them and you give and receive money and goods on a lazy Susan type turn table.
Like I said Steven has been telling this story to the children for many years and Steven has been back to Granada many times since this time and never found this place again. The children wanted to find it soooo bad so Steven made a bigger effort.
We were successful!!!!! The kids were more than excited to be able to see the small door and wait for the nuns to come and hear their small voice behind the door. It was all just as Steven had described it and it really was Living A Bed Time Story-
