The other day I was laughing at a comment my cousin made to her brother over facebook when he asked if anyone was going to the sand dunes over Easter Weekend. Her comment was "just you and 20,000 of your closest friends) LOL. I gave me a good chuckle and it made me think of Wednesday as we went to the beach. In Spain Wednesday was Labor Day so most of the people had it off work and the weather was fabulous so of course we wanted to go to the beach and we met friends from church there, but that also meant that 20,000 of our closest friends were there too :)
We really have only been to the beach so far when almost no one was there so it was a little crazy to see how many people were there. It actually was a great day though, The biggest difference was this is Europe and there are tons of women that go topless at the beach so that was an interesting conversation with our children.
We do love the beach though. I love how the kids just feel free. They can wonder and dig and play in the water to their heart content. This beach had a very gradual slope out in the water so they could go pretty far out and still not be super deep. It was a wonderful day and even though a ton of people were there with us we are glad we went.
