Pamplona

We made a quick stop in Pamplona to teach the kids about the running of the bulls.  We watched a few youtube videos to help them understand what it was all about and then made a quick stop in the city to see the arena and the street they run down.

Also can I tell you how often we stop for Steven to talk to people.  He is so good at starting up conversations (and the kids make it so easy to draw attention and have a good ice breaker for strangers).  We had a good 20 minute conversation with strangers at the statue.  I love it!!!  It really is part of the reason we are here.  We talk to people and get to know them.  they open up and tell us about their favorite places to visit and make recommendations.  It is so fun.

We are also discovering the beauty of the northern country.  It is so hilly and mountainous, green and lush.  It reminds me how divers this area really is.   In the USA we think about the different areas that we have from the east coast to the west coast and it seems like they have all of those different areas of topography  and scenery and in comparison Spain in tiny compared to the US.  It is amazing.
