We have an inside joke in our family about Steven losing things that are essential, things such as his passport, cell phone, wallet, etc. We keep track of how many times it happens and so far on this trip we are up to five times. Here is the story of the most recent.
A few days ago we spent the morning playing at the park among a few other places that we needed to go. At the end of the day we were getting the kids ready for bed and Steven realized that he could not find his cell phone anywhere. I called the cell phone a number of times and no luck.
In these moments of the unknown it can be a little stressful but it also happens so often that we try not to panic. We searched all over, Steven even went back to the park to search, we knelt as a family and prayed for help to find it, and then we had to wait. It was dark outside, all the other places we had been that day were closed.
As we were getting ready for bed there was a loud knock at the door. Steven runs to the door to find a women at our door holding his cell phone. Where di she find it? How in the world did she know it was his and where we lived. She found the cell phone in the park, and we live in a small town in Spain where we are the only Americans. She said she saw the phone was in English and asked around. It was easy to find out with a few questions around town which house we were living in so she stopped by with the phone.
This was a real miracle in our lives. Steven's lost cell phone basically walked back to our house no more than 30 minutes after we prayed about it. We are just feeling so blessed and watched over by these wonderful people. Our Heavenly father is watching over us and I felt so overwhelmingly blessed and loved.
