It is orange season around here. There are orange trees along the streets (although you don't eat those because they don't taste very good, we tried them) and there are fields of orange trees all around our little town. (That and olive groves, we missed olive harvest by a few weeks)
I saw a man sitting by the side of the road yesterday selling 3 kg (6.5 lbs) of oranges yesterday for 1 euro ($1.15) Super cheap.
Yesterday one of our neighbors stopped by and asked if we would like to go out to his fields to get some oranges. He only had a small car so only Steven and Miranda went with him.
They didn't actually pick the oranges, they wore the baskets to carry them. Our neighbor wasn't actually picking them either, he was cutting them off the tree. He had a tool to cut them because he said that if you pick them they will go bad faster but if you cut them they last longer, and he didn't expect us to use 2 bushels of orange very fast. You can see from the picture many of them were huge. This one I am holding was the largest we found.Miranda loves, loves, loves orange juice so she was super excited to juice them for breakfast this morning. Sadly, she found out that juicing oranges is more work than she expected and it took a lot more oranges than she expected to get enough juice for our family. Either way we are excited to have so many wonderful fresh oranges. They are delicious!

So fun
